What Sharpie?

I don’t know how many times I’ve read about endzone celebrations this year. The new rules are in place because things got so “out of hand” the last couple of years. And the sports media has been all over it from day one. But I saw one of the best celebrations of all last night, in a pitched battle between brothers on the national stage in New York. Manning against Manning, and the highlight of the night came seconds after the younger of the two lofted a pass into the corner of the endzone. Jeremy Shockey, the G-men’s pro-bowl Tight End, caught the pass, ran directly out of the back of the end zone where a small group of American soldiers stood cheering wildly, embraced one and then handed him the ball. That soldier’s ebullience was uncontainable.
And you know how many stories I saw about that today?

That’s okay, though. Jeremy, you won me over last night.
